Someone could rate makeup colours or styles, then preview a modest change to their own photo. This was one of the original examples of changing an existing image rather than generating an entirely new one.
Where the small model fits
A compatible encoder maps the photo into the generator's internal inputs. The preference scorer helps find a limited change to those inputs before decoding a new preview, with separate checks on unrelated features. Product suggestions would need a separate link to real products.
What would need to work
Check whether the preview preserves identity and whether the proposed effect is achievable. A higher image score alone does not validate a real-world makeover or product recommendation.
