A reader could prefer concise local reporting in the morning and detailed analysis later. The original proposal covered interest-based ranking and different ways of presenting headlines or stories.
Where the small model fits
A personal scorer ranks article representations. A separate writing model may change length or presentation while retaining the source facts and attribution; a preference score is not a fact check.
What would need to work
Measure usefulness, factual consistency and breadth of coverage. The system should not alter reported events to make a story more pleasing. No news-personalization study has been run here.
